Sweet Potato and Cabbage Stew

Today I made a stew with sweet potatoes, cabbage, sausage and caramelized onions. It tasted good, but wasn't a huge hit with Kerby and the kids, they liked it but it wasn't their favorite, then again they're not really sweet potato OR cabbage fans. I would eat it again. They liked it better with salt and pepper. I had cabbage and sweet potatoes from bountiful baskets so I decided to try mixing them together.

Recipe:

Sweet Potato and Cabbage Stew

1 lb original sausage, cooked

3-4 med. sweet potatoes, cubed

1 small onion, caramelized 

1/3 head of cabbage, chopped

1/4 tsp. garlic salt

1 tsp parsley flakes

Prepare sausage and onion. Mix together with other ingredients into a crock-pot.  Cook on low 5-6 hours or high about 3.
