Inversion Stretch Table

Have you ever tried an Inversion Stretch Table? Well I finally did! Kerry and Nancy my father and mother in-law both kept suggesting I try theirs when we're at their house. I finally decided to try it because my knees and neck kept hurting and for some reason that day my entire leg and hip had been hurting. My knees had been hurting for a really long time, sometimes when I hadn't done any strenuous activity but always when I did. When I'd go to Zumba my knees always hurt, especially my left and my neck was always stiff and in pain and my back would hurt I think because of my neck. Well, this was 2 weeks ago that I did this. The following day my knees weren't hurting, my neck wasn't stiff and my back was fine!! Nothing was hurting! 3 days later nothing was hurting still, even after the long drive home. I went to Zumba and was curious if it would hold out or start hurting again. At Zumba my knees were completely fine. My back was fine and my neck which normally gets stiff and painful for some reason about halfway through the first song. Well, this time it didn't start getting stiff until about 3/4 the way through the class, so maybe 5 songs and even then the stiffness wasn't as bad as it had been in the past. My neck had been getting so bad I'd reach back and massage it while dancing. My knees were fine through the whole class. OK so 4 Zumba classes and one 5K later my knees have not hurt for one single moment! My neck and back hurt some but not as much as before, my neck doesn't get as stiff as easily.

Here I am just starting to flip myself upside down.

I definitely want to try it every time I go there!! Here's the thing, I only hung upside down for about 1 minute before I got up because the pressure in my head was getting pretty bad. I think I can look past that for a short time for awesome results like that. It's been 2 weeks and my knees still haven't hurt yet! I think if I were to do it longer it would help other things longer and better. My Zumba instructor had told me a few days before this that my knee probably needed to be stretched better. Well that's exactly what this does, it stretches you and fixes things. I won't pretend to be an expert and say I know what it can do and everything but it did help me and that's good enough for me! I'm curious how long it will last, I'll for sure be doing it again though.

Upside down, my face is already turning red.
Skylar's getting a little concerned for me. At one point after I completely relaxed I thought I was going to fall out of the foot hold thingy but I never did, it held me there really well. Oh ya and Nancy said to make sure someone at least knows you're doing it so they can check on you, some people have been known not to be able to get back up without help. So, either have someone with you or have someone check in on you.

Skylar said it was her turn so we let her try it.

Here is what it looks like.

That's what you hook your feet into and then tighten it up, if you didn't have good shoes on it would be uncomfortable and a little painful. My sister in-law had flip flops on so it hurt.

I found this web site, from what I saw this was the best priced Inversion Stretch Table, I did not look for very long though. Hmm, after I published this I saw an ad come up on the left that had one cheaper, I wonder if some have different weight limits. I may have to get one some day. Especially if my new exercises to become pain free suggested by Nancy don't help much. I plan to start those soon so hopefully my neck and back will start feeling better again soon. Yes, you'll get a post about that!

  2. Hi there, Kristi! It seemed you were having a good time with your inversion table. I’m so glad that you tried it. You can get some relief from back pain as you do it. But it would be best if you have company that can give you some assistance.
