Spaghetti Meatball Bake

Today I couldn't think of what to make for dinner. Kadin was helping me brainstorm and I suggested we have spaghetti. Kadin agreed and then asked if we could make meatballs for it. I was reluctant because I've never made meatballs other than chicken ones. He's asked me this before so I decided that today I would finally do it for him as long as he helped. So we started not knowing what to do. I just made up a recipe as I went and decided I'd blog about it whether it turned out good or bad. Then I thought, well if it's bad I'm sure not sharing the recipe I make up. So, if it was good you'll see a recipe down at the bottom of this post, if not, sorry no recipe! You should thank me actually. Here are some pics.
 Does it look good?

Here are the meatballs before I added the sauce.

 Covered with the sauce.

I added some cheese to the top.

Here it is all baked.
The finished product!

And..............................YES! It was GOOD! Mmmmm it was REALLY good! I didn't want to stop eating it, I did just in case you're wondering. Kerby and his brother even liked it!!!!! Kerby does NOT like spaghetti and they both kept saying it was really good. While I was cooking it I told them it wasn't my fault if it was gross. Haha! I'm so happy it was good! Now I'll be making it a lot! It's been a long time since I've been this happy about a meal I've made up, in fact it's a rare occasion. :)

Here's the recipe, although I just made it up as I went I did actually keep track just in case it was worth enough to share.

Meatballs:
1- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 small onion finely chopped
1 cup plain bread crumbs
2 eggs
3 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp parsley
2 tsp basil
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (I call it W sauce)
1 cup fiesta blend cheese (that's all I had but it worked)
Salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400º. Mix all together and shape into about 2 inch balls. Bake for 12 min.

Sauce: (I didn't measure so well with the sauce)
I used 2 large jars of bottled tomatoes
2 small cans of tomato sauce
1 small can mushrooms
about 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp minced garlic
about 1 tsp basil
about 1 tsp parsley
Salt and pepper
Spaghetti noodles
Bring to a boil, add spaghetti noodles broken into about 2 inch pieces. Let cook for about 5 min. to let the noodles get slightly soft (they'll soften the rest of the way while baking). Pour over cooked meatballs and sprinkle with a good amount of fiesta blend cheese (I'm sure any kind of cheese would work). Bake at 400º for about 15 min. Enjoy!!!!!!
